Family Photos at Mount Falcon East


Mount Falcon East in Morrison, Colorado is the perfect spot for Denver families.  It's accessible, there is ample parking, it usually isn't too crowded, but the best part??  Views of Red Rocks.  Also, there's a small pond, grasses that add stunning texture and foothill views.

Mt Falcon East is great for kids.


It's just a quick walk from the parking lot to get to the gorgeous views.  The trailhead is a walkable dirt path.  Bonus points if you bring gummy bears like this smart mom did.  Everyone smiles a little bigger for gummy bears.  It's a relatively quick drive and easy to get to stunning foothills views.  It's a great option for a mini session because you can get a lot of variety in a short amount of time.

Mt Falcon East is stunning in the fall.


It was a chilly day, but these boys did a great job hanging tough.  Fall is a great time for family photos at Mt Falcon East because the grass is the perfect golden hue and the textures of the dried brush.  


If it's a particularly dry season, the trailhead can get a little dusty, so it's a good idea to bring wipes just in case.

Mini Sessions, Big Joy.


I'm a full proponent of mini sessions.  Whether it be for budgeting reasons, or the fact that you want a quick session because you're worried about how your kids might handle a full session, or maybe you're unsure of working with a new photographer and you'd like to get an idea of what working with me is like before investing in a full session...  Mini sessions are a great option.  There's also great for fringe seasons when the temps are a bit too cold for a full session.


Quick and joyful.  

Simple and productive.

Playful and candid.


Win-win.
