There’s something truly magical about photographing families in the fall—especially in a place like City Park in Denver. The golden leaves, crisp air, and soft evening light create the perfect setting for capturing those genuine, joy-filled moments.


This sweet family brought so much heart and laughter to their session, and their lovable Bernese Mountain dog made it even more special. Their toddler daughter absolutely stole the show—as toddlers tend to do—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She was playful, full of personality, and definitely the boss of our shoot (and everyone was totally fine with that!).

One of the best parts about being a Denver family photographer is getting to document these little everyday adventures that become big, beautiful memories. From swinging their daughter between them on the grass, to exploring the park and even spotting some elephants across the street at the zoo, this session was full of life and movement.


City Park really is a dream location for family photos in Denver. It offers:

🌊 Gorgeous lake reflections

🏞️ Mountain Views

🍁 And, in autumn, a blanket of crunchy, colorful leaves


It’s no wonder it’s one of my favorite places to shoot in the city.
