This recent motherhood photography session in Arvada, Colorado took place at Majestic View Park (it's a fav for a reason - check out a multi generation family session here), one of the most stunning locations in the Denver metro area for family photos. With mountain views, a gorgeous garden and a golden hour glow that will stop you in your tracks, it was the perfect setting to celebrate this season of motherhood.

Chasing Toddlers, Catching Moments


This mama spent the entire session chasing after her energetic toddler son—and honestly, that’s what made the photos so beautiful. Documentary-style photography shines in these moments.  You know what kids don't want to do?  Smile at the camera.  You know what kids do want to do?  Being spun, tossed and chased.  This mama leaned into making this session special for her sweet little man and it shows.

One of the most meaningful parts of this session was documenting this mother’s journey as a single parent. So often, moms put themselves behind the camera. They document their kids’ milestones but forget they deserve to be remembered in the story too.
