If you live in the Denver metro area, you know that we are minutes away from some pretty stunning views.  As a photographer, this is the absolute dream.  Having easy access to trails like this one is nothing short of just plain lucky.  This sweet mama was interested in a motherhood session with her sweet toddler, with a heavy focus on the landscape.

Motherhood Mini


If you're wondering if your toddler is up for a full session, maybe a mini is right for you??  I'll always champion a full session, but I fully support a mini.  Sometimes the time and investment is right, and that's ok.  We can get a lot accomplished in a quick mini session, especially with a playfully, sunshine-y toddler.

Outdoor sessions, full of options.


Outdoor sessions allow photographers to chase the light.  Below, you'll see three examples of different kinds of light.  The first is strong side light, the middle is evenly diffused light and the last is backlight with some sun flares.  All three types of lighting convey different feelings - emotive and playful, calm and connected, nostalgic and bold.  Outdoor sessions allow us to chase all the best lights.

Mini session, max details.


I love nothing more than capturing parenthood in it's most micro details.  Often times, that's in tiny hands.  That tiny hand on mom's back. The tiny hands holding gently holding onto mom's.  What a little love.
