When it comes to senior portraits, most teen boys aren’t exactly counting down the days to their photo session. And honestly—that’s okay. Not every senior wants the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean their session can’t be relaxed, meaningful, and true to who they are.


The best thing you can do? Give them a say. Even just one choice—what to wear, where to go, or how “dressed up” to get—goes a long way. For this senior, he knew he wanted photos by the river. Luckily, this Fort Collins location is just minutes from downtown, which meant we could mix natural backdrops with the urban vibe. That variety is one of the things I love most as a Denver senior photographer—it gives seniors the freedom to choose a setting that feels like them.
