Winter Family Mini Session at South Valley Park in Littleton, Colorado
If you're from Colorado, you know the weather is unpredictable. Sometimes snow is in the forecast and you get none. Sometimes snow isn't in the forecast and you get feet. Sometimes, you just get lucky, and Colorado drops the most beautiful, fluffy snow, so you reach out to your local photographer, line up a mini session and get the sweetest, most playful family photos. Perfect for a holiday card? Yes. Perfect for hanging up on your wall? Also yes. The best part is, you don't have to travel far at all from the metro area to find stunning views.

South Valley Park in Littleton is gorgeous year round.
South Valley Park has a Mann Reservoir, red rock formations (when they aren't buried under snow), and views of the foothills. It does involve a bit of a walk, so it can pose some accessibility complications. There is usually ample parking, which is a major plus! It's also close to C-470 and easy to get to.

Tips for a successful family snow portrait session
- Reach out now!! Since snow pictures are based on mother nature's timeframe, it's best to fill out the contact form so we can stay in touch in the winter and spring season. We can stay in touch throughout the season and land on a snowy day that works for both our schedules.
- Have outfits at the ready, since snow can be unpredictable. Consider getting boots or high top shoes for everyone.
- Mini sessions work best for kids. It will be cold, and sometimes wet. We can get all the photos we need in a 20 minute session.
- Plan on playing!! Is there anything better than being outdoors with your cute kids?? Let's capture a snowball fight.

We will absolutely get some precious candids of the chaos of photographing kids in the snow.

And we'll get the perfect family portraits photos too.
