You know what's an absolute delight about Denver families?  They aren't afraid of a little sun, nor a little cold.  This day was *full* sun and on the chilly side.  This family was A-OK with a bit of adventure, a bit of exploration and lots of family time.

This family's session has it all -

sun flares and rich shadows of full sun,

the softness that only golden hour can bring,

the moodiness of blue hour.


Long gone are the days of stiffly curated department studio lighting.  A little less rigid, a lot more playful.

I love the dynamics of this sweet, blended family.  A mix of two subsets, becoming one.  All the kids had their own distinct personalities, and it shows in the photos.

One of the best parts of Denver is it's versatility.  There are perfect Denver parks, perfect Denver venues, and so many perfect Denver homes.  It's also just a quick hop, skip and jump from these stunning views.  So if you're ready to highlight Denver's nearby foothills, there is no shortage of location options for you.

Grateful for Denver families

that want to tell their story.


Storytelling is a mega buzzword in the photography world right now.  My take on it is less sit still and smile, more wander and play. Less stand awkwardly in a field and more cuddles.  Less formulaic, more wild.  

Less about me, more about you.  Family photography is meant to document your family, not dictate it.  


This mama actually warned me that the littlest would have through the roof energy at all times, to which I said, amazing.  Bring the kids, bring their energy, bring their sense of adventure and exploration.  


Joy and curiosity looks good on everyone.
