Fresh 48s are Extraordinary


I have a big heart for Fresh 48s.  Having photos of your brand-new-to-this-world baby is unlike any other type of milestone.  You have worked so hard to nurture them, through morning sickness and sleepless nights.  You've wondered what they'll look like and who they'll be.  And then, they're finally here.  The first 48 hours with your new babe are nothing short of spectacular.  You're meeting this new person while meeting a new version of yourself.  This Denver Fresh 48 was truly such a gift.  These parents had so much love for their sweet newborn and for each other.  It was an absolute joy to document their big step into parenthood.

Newborn Photography, Stress Free


The beauty of a Fresh 48 in hospital is that you don't need to do the legwork of an in-home photo session because you don't need to clean or prep the house.  You just get to exist!  I do the heavy lifting.  I'll move furniture around, I'm happy to wait for nurse checks, I prompt you of where to go and what to do.  Your job is to snuggle your newborn and bask in the joy of bringing them earthside.

Newborns Change so Fast


Newborns truly change right before your eyes.  Their fresh skin, their tiny hairs, their beautiful eyes.  All of it can change so quickly.  And you're in the haze of little sleep and newborn love, so it's almost like you blink and you can miss it.  All the cliches are true - the days are long but the years are oh so very short.  Fresh 48 sessions help you remember the wrinkly fingers, the little nose crinkles.  It also preserves some unexpected details, you'll remember how tall Dad got squished onto the tiny pull out chair couch for a few nights.

Newborn Details You'll Want to Remember


I have a few must do photos for Fresh 48s.  I love above the basinet, close up details (peep that perfect little hand!), baby with Mom, baby with Dad, room details.  I will of course get a few traditional photos of everyone smiling at the camera, but documentary photos are where the true magic lies.  Photos that feel real, like you could step back into this tiny moment in time to relive it.

Fresh 48s are Worth It, Promise
