Family, maternity, twin one year old birthday milestone...

this session had it all.


You read that right.  We fit in playful family photos, sentimental maternity pics, and a handful of one year old milestone photos all into the same session.  This mama is an absolute rock star (twin one year olds and pregnant??  truly, incredible).  Mount Falcon West (not to be confused with the East side trailhead) is incredible.  Check out another Mt Falcon family photo session here and a senior session here.


So let's start with the milestone photos.

Twin birthday photos...

exactly as chaotic as it sounds.


Ok, this was the best.  So stinking cute, so playful.  I mean, come on, look at those cute grins.  The balloon had a mind of it's own, as did each twin, a lot like herding cats.  I'm all for gorgeous studio sessions, but the foresty backdrop adds a little extra.  


Getting one baby to the one year old milestone is a big deal.  But two??  Double the babies, double the celebration.

So you're telling me this mom is busy raising these two precious twins and is busy growing another human?  And she shows up to photos this stunning?  Literal superhuman.  


Loved her blue dress, it really popped against the forest greens.

Multi-generation pictures are a special kind of sentimental.

because Grandma also deserves the spotlight.


Grandma graciously came along to help.  With twin one year olds, it's an all hands on deck sort of situation.  And grandma plays a big part in these boys' lives, so it was fun to get her in some photos too.

Documentary mountain photos,

I love documentary photos so much because it allows for families to explore and play.  It offers an inside look into your  lives, personalities and interests.  So many picturesque photos come from you just being you.

There is no amount of family photo chaos,

that i am unable to handle.


I love sessions like these.  So much joy tucked into one perfect hour.  I love families that are willing to be flexible, explore somewhere new, and just enjoy time with their favorite people.  If you're feeling like you don't know what to do during family photos and you're worried they'll be awkward, rest assured, I've got plenty of prompts and ideas to keep the session feel fun and light.  I'm always on the look out for the perfect pockets of lights, the most lovely sun flare, the just right angle to show off their perfect eyelashes.
