Littleton, Colorado is a beautiful to call home.
And a beautiful place for family pictures.
Hi! I’m Maggie, a Littleton family photographer who loves capturing heartfelt and honest moments for families. My journey with Littleton started years ago—I lived in east Littleton for middle school and high school years. After relocating for college and trying on a handful of other Denver metro cities, I decided to come home in 2020. I now live on the west side of Littleton (technically outside of Littleton city limits, but it says Littleton on my address, so there’s that). Selfishly, I'm not super grateful to be a photographer from a place with so many family photography location options.

Littleton was the perfect backdrop for my own family photos in 2023 at South Valley Park.
There’s something idyllic about Littleton. We're nestled up in the foothills, we have easy access to the mountains and we're a quick drive away from Downtown Littleton. It feels like the best parts that Colorado has to offer all rolled into one.
Starting at birth, Littleton Adventist Hospital is a lovely place for baby's first photos. Fresh 48 sessions are a unique, gentle way to capture those first hours of your newborn’s life. The first yawns, the gentle snuggles, and the overwhelming joy of welcoming a new life—it’s all worth remembering.

For families looking to capture outdoor memories, Littleton is a treasure trove of picturesque spots. South Valley Park is a favorite of mine—its red rock formations, rolling hills, and open skies are breathtaking year-round. While Littleton families frequent it for its family friendly trails, Colorado photographers know it’s a great spot for picturesque family photos. Adventurous families might even find it to the be the perfect location for snowy family photos. Here's a peak into a mini session at South Valley Park and a community hike with Wilderness Inclusion for Learning Development.

City parks in Littleton offer even more options. Sterne Park, with its pond, bridges, a surprise xeric garden and lush greenery, is a classic location for families wanting a touch of nature without driving into the mountains. The fall colors are incredible. The War Memorial Rose Garden is just a quick walk away. It’s a bit of a hidden gem! If you time it right, you'll be shocked at the range of rose colors and varieties. Take a closer look at a family photography session at Sterne Park and War Memorial Rose Garden.

And you can’t talk about Littleton without mentioning the charm of Downtown Littleton. It’s a whole vibe—urban without the crowds, full of character, and perfect for a golden hour shoot. The historic buildings, unique textures, and colorful murals make for stunning backdrops. It’s the ideal spot for families who want a touch of city textures in their photos. Plus, I love any reason to make a quick stop at Penzey’s Spices and DIRT Coffee. Check out a Downtown Littleton Family session here.

But honestly, some of the most meaningful sessions happen right at home. Your own home, filled with the laughter of your favorite people, can be the perfect setting for a session that captures your family. Those simple, every-day moments—like kids splashing in a kiddie pool in the backyard or snuggling on the comfort of your dog's favorite couch—are what you’ll want to remember years from now. Peep an in-home Littleton family session here.
