I had the joy of spending a morning with this beautiful baby and her sweet parents in their Denver home. At the time of her photos, she was a whopping seven days old. Baby was perfect, mom and dad were perfect, their home was perfect.
Sometimes sessions are just a little extra perfect.
Newborn Photos, Coziest at Home
Being a newborn photographer is the best. Getting to document families in their beginning days is the best. Taking sentimental photos in your home is also the best. You worked hard on their nursery, preparing your home, it's all worth remembering.
And being in the comfort of your home cannot be beat. Baby is the boss. Baby needs to eat? Feed them. Baby needs a diaper change? Change them. Baby wants cuddles? Snuggle up on the couch.
At home, because your pets are family too.
This sweet family had a 15 year old dog, Sam. Sam is such a love. Mostly deaf, the calmest of calm, very curious about baby. Getting to photograph their newest babe with their sweet pup was simply the best.
Also, peep those plants. Dad def has a green thumb.
At home newborn photos, because the details are worth remembering.
You don't need a ton of space for in home newborn photos. I promise you, your home is picture perfect as is. You can straighten up, but the more your home feels like you, the more the photos will too. I loved that this Denver family fully leaned in to the documentary side of in home newborn photos.
